The negative after effect of each attack by the deadly terrorist group known as Boko Haram can also be seen on the number of IDP Camps that is being built by Nigeria government and sometimes the victims themselves.
Usually, these camps are populated by a large number of women and children who are in dare need of shelter, beddings, clothing, education, parents, better welfare and a promising future.
A sizeable number of organisations both locally and internationally are throwing their weight in these camps for several reasons. Nigeria government under the leadership of president Buhari is on top of the situation but a larger number of individuals and private companies in Nigeria are playing the blind game to the plight of these unfortunate Nigerians that are faced with a very harsh situation that is not necessarily a fault of theirs.
Also, the relatively fortunate victims that are in different camps across the country are crying out because they are being treated as prisoners. The Bring Back Our Girls campaign has become very popular in Nigeria and around the world. The mass support this campaign has mobilized is amazing and encouraging not only for the immediate victims and their families but also to Nigerians in diasporas.
However, there is a need for all hands to be on deck not only to bring back the missing Chibok girls but to give hope and succour to those that are not necessarily in the terrorist camp. Those we see on our street every day, those young men and women that are traumatised and wandering around, those that are without education/ voice to cry out for themselves and their families.
Guys, how are we contributing to making life bearable for these victims? Can you just take one off the street? Can you provide a meal for just one or more? Can you assist one to afford a decent education? Can you be a voice for the voiceless? Can you pray for them?

We must commend the active role that the present administration is playing to assuage the hardship of IDPs. Vice president Osinbajo says “The president is committed to assisting the IDPs whose sources of income have been cut off by the terrorists, to start a new life,” . He said government will not shy away from its responsibility despite scarce resources at its disposal.
